Fictional book design, layout and typography
Start! is a fictional book exploring creative processes and how to get out of procrastination.
Because this was a fictional project, I knew I wanted to do something unconventional. I was browsing books in order to gain inspiration, and spotted a book cover with stamp like qualities. It had this naive but striking quality to it.
The goal then became to create a visual language, that was sophistcated and but bold.
Without any other direct inspiration, I then went on to design the layout and typography of the book, while building on the visual language I had establised on the cover, making sure that it ran throughout the entire design.
